Ed Zealous

Just announced as main support for Snow Patrol’s upcoming Belfast Odyssey Arena show, Ed Zealous, the most electrifying band to hail from the burgeoning Belfast scene, were crafted from ice and flames and are prepared to chill the bones and fire up the senses with their precision rush of melody and guitars.
Ed Zealous are Steve McAvoy (vocals), Andrew Wilson (guitar), Paul Olphert (guitar), Pete Lloyd (bass) and Paul Irwin (drums). Formed during their early days in art college, all five are originally from small seaside towns in Co.Derry. Their no-nonsense gigs in Belfast have become something of a must see event, with increasing numbers gathering to witness the Belfast brigade burn down the barriers of contemporary music.
A Plastic Rose
http://www.myspace.com/aplasticrose

A Plastic Rose are purveyors of mid nineties post-hardcore tinged ‘Catchy Alternative Rock‘®, rooted firmly in late naughties peacetime Belfast, where they have been cutting their teeth on the northern front since August 2006.
With a sound that is alternately raucous and sensitive, with lyrics that are bashful and direct, they’ve cultivated a reputation for intense, intimate live shows.
Colenso Parade
http://www.myspace.com/colensoparade
Colenso Parade like all the best bands are a tight gang of best friends. They are a hardworking foursome who play each gig like the end of the world was nigh and who write songs so infectously catchy you will wake up screaming the melodies in the middle of the night. With plaudits from institutions as NME, AU Magazine, Radio 1, ATL and Hotpress magazine it is hard to see how Colenso Parade arent going to be sharing their music with the rest of the world very soon.
Strait Laces
http://www.myspace.com/straitlaces
After regular exposure to the colourful diversity offered within the cosmopolitan capital’s growing venues, a seed was planted within three young guys from the North Coast to write and play music with the number one aim of enjoying it. In Jan 2008 Strait Laces was formed, and after a few months of creative freedom they are now armed with an arsenal of tunes and a readiness to perform them.
John Shelly & the Creatures
http://www.myspace.com/whywalter
John Shelly and the Creatures are a collection of friends all under one roof. It was started by Walter and Phil one day in late December 2006. They were swiftly joined in January 2007 by college friends and since have been picking up talented musicians who are nice enough to play with them for love of the music and just general goings on around. It was originally intended to be a show case for all involved and hopefully in the next few months, you, the viewers can make this come true.
Acoustic Showcase
The Acoustic Stage in association with Vibic, will feature sets from Seven Summits, Robert Holmes, Escape Act, Pawet Bignell, Junior Johnson, The Monts, Vertigo Smyth & Cat Malojian.
